You can find the executable script for running P圜harm in the installation directory under bin. In Terminal, from the folder where your file is located, execute the following command: If you don't have the P圜harm launcher configured, you need to configure it before you can open a file.ĭepending on your OS, open the file as you usually do when in command line adding the -e command before the filename. Select the version of P圜harm with which you want to open a file and click Open. Locate the file you need in your file system, right click it and select Open With. When you open a file from the welcome screen or from the local file system, it opens in a temporary project in the IDE not in the LightEdit mode, and you can use all the available P圜harm features. You can use several ways to open a file in the LightEdit mode. However, you can navigate to a specific line of code ( Ctrl+G), fold or unfold parts of code, check, and change file encoding.
Keep in mind that the LightEdit mode works as a text-like editor, and it doesn't support the usual IDE editor features such as code completion, or code navigation. When you need to edit just one file without creating or loading the whole project in P圜harm, you can use the LightEdit mode.
